Recreate Outlook Profile Data Files for Outlook Loading Problem

There are times that Outlook is unable to launch. Common solutions you can use are as follows:

1. Using the command line: outlook /resetnavpane
2. Perform Microsoft Office
3. Recreate Outlook Profile

If the above solutions unsuccessful and the Outlook loading problem persists, you may consider to recreate Outlook Profile Data Files:

4a.     Rename FRMCACHE.DAT to FRMCACHE.DAT_old
Path: C:\Users\userID\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FORMS\


4b.     Rename extend.dat to extend.dat_old
Path: C:\Users\userID\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook


4c.     Rename outcmd.dat to outcmd.dat_old
          Rename Outlook_New.srs to Outlook_New.srs_old
Path: C:\Users\userID\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook

 

4d. Relaunch the Outlook again and Outlook will auto recreate the following data files:
    FRMCACHE.DAT
    extend.dat
    outcmd.dat
    Outlook_New.srs
