Cisco VPN Client Unable to Launch – Always minimize at Taskbar

When I launch the VPN Client, the application simply stuck at the taskbar. It will never expand no matter how hard I have tried to maximize / restore the application windows.
I tried to reinstall the VPN Client software but it only works for a day. On the following day, same problem reoccur.

Fortunately, I’ve discovered that the problem can be fixed by editing the vpnclient.ini file inside the “C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client” folder.

1.    Open the folder “C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client”
2.    Single click on the file “vpnclient.ini
3.    Right-click and open with “Notepad” or open using "Edit"

You can edit the following lines :
If you have numbers bigger than 42949 like 4294916329, simply delete everything but the first five numbers, and leave 42949 (or use smaller values), that worked for me.

WindowY=42949

WindowX=42949

Finally, ‘Save’ and ‘Close’ the file after editing. Launch the VPN Client software again.

You can put smaller numbers in the values it will work also.

WindowY=196

WindowX=388

Alternative Solution 1:

It is also said that the problem can be the values of high numbers change them to 0 on ‘LogWindowX’ and ‘LogWindowY’:

LogWindowX=0

LogWindowY=0

Alternative Solution 2:
1.    Delete the entry on ‘WindowY’ and ‘WindowX’
2.    ‘Save’ and ‘Close’ the file
3.    Re-launch the VPN Client application

Alternative Solution 3:
1.    Delete the  vpnclient.ini file
Folder path: “C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client”
2.    ‘Save’ and ‘Close’ the file
3.    Re-launch the VPN Client application
